It appears someone had their fix done there.... You think it was a $99 repair like it says on the sign? So one would have to remove their broken unit,,, pay to ship their broken window regulator to them.....they build you a new system, and ship back to you. You might check out the full-price for a grand total. I would stick to the Tom Mills/Jefferson Auto replacement unit which will last forever... John This message has been edited by Stray Cat on 03-11-2024 at 07:30 AM Hi Tom, I repaired my drivers side regulator 10 years ago and yes, it's broke again. I also felt a little uneasy in the installation video watching the installer hammer down the bracket onto the door glass, even though he was using a rubber mallet. Thank you sir for your input and have a great day. Regards, Hello everyone, Here was their reply: Hello, we offer rebuild services for your OEM prowler regulators that would involve shipping us your broken parts for repair. We replaced the tubing that commonly breaks and add steel cable braiding that prevents breaking in the future. We also offer a lifetime warranty on the repairs. I have included further instruction below. We can repair the power window regulators for your Plymouth Prowler for $299 each plus shipping with a lifetime warranty on the repair. Turn-around time is 48 business hours. Once your part has been received, you will be notified and then we will call again for payment when the part has been inspected and is ready to be shipped back to your location. Step 1 - Complete the REBUILD AND RETURN FORM here: https://powerwindowrepair.com/rebuild-return-order-form/. If the form does not submit properly, just download and print the form from the bottom of the page and include it in your package. Step 2 - Remove the part and inspect that all parts and pieces are present and accounted for. If you are sending a cable action regulator we MUST receive all cables, cable sheaths, the spool wheel, the spool wheel cap and the glass carriers (metal pieces/plates), and window motor in order to complete this repair. DO NOT SEND GLASS. The glass is at high risk of damage during shipping and we are not responsible for any missing or damaged parts if the box gets damaged in shipping. Step 3 - Please email or text pictures of the entire window regulator. Not zoomed into anything in particular we just want to verify that all necessary components that are needed will be shipped. Please submit pictures of both front and back of the regulator to powerwindowrepairaz@gmail.com or text them to (480) 524-0690 for approval. We cannot stress enough how important this is. Missing parts will delay the process and we will not be held responsible for any additional labor charges or storage charges on your end. If missing parts have been discarded, and custom fabrication of such parts is required additional charges may apply, but you will be communicated with and approval from your part will be needed before any additional work is done. STEP 4 - Call us at (480) 570-5116 and let us know the part is shipping to our location and the method by which you will be sending it STEP 5 - Ship your part! You will be responsible for shipping to and from our location. We highly encourage you to get shipping quotes through your preferred shipping provider. Make sure you have approx. weight, length, width, and height -The box used to ship your part back may not be the same size as the box that you send your broken part in. Due to the way some regulators are designed and once rebuilt the box must be large enough to secure your part so as to not compromise the integrity of the repair. STEP 6 - We receive the part, inspect it and call to notify you that it's here. STEP 7 - The part is rebuilt, inspected and is marked ready to ship STEP 8 - We will call you to take payment over the phone and discuss return shipping. If not otherwise requested, the part will be returned and shipped back USPS Ground. STEP 9 - The part is packed and shipped the same day payment is taken, if payment is received before 4pm MST Warm Regards, Your Power Window Repair Team This message has been edited by Tom Mills on 03-11-2024 at 03:03 PM I repaired my drivers side regulator 10 years ago and yes, it's broke again. Regards, John This message has been edited by Stray Cat on 03-11-2024 at 08:36 PM John, Thank you for your recommendation. Tom’s kits are top shelf. I bought right and left sides a couple years ago for my silver 2000. I recently picked up a 2001 black tie and will be ordering a set for it once Tom has stock in the spring. 100% endorse Tom’s kits. A/C brings up a good point. Thanks again everyone for the positive feedback regarding Tom's gear driven regulators. But, unlike the Prowler, there is NO ONE that I know of making a good replacement for a Viper. So like others, I bought Tom Mills Replacement for the Prowler when they fail. Upstairs in a box! I am currently looking into your gear driven system I've heard so much about.
I find the installation video a little intimidating.
Is the installation as difficult as it looks?

Which is a total engineering disaster, guaranteed to break again. You will be lucky if you can get it back in the small access hole in the inner door panel without breaking it. JMO Tom Mills quote:

We use a heavy plastic hammer to install the channel on the glass. It's really not a problem. I have had a lot of owners install the regulator kits themselves over the years and they had a few questions, but seemed to have had pretty good luck with the installation. They come with very thorough instructions and pictures.TooHipCat quote:

BrianStray Cat Here are some pics. First, if you own a Prowler, Tom's design is completely re-engineered and far superior. And that's what you should buy, like I did. But if you have a car where there wasn't a "Tom Mills" to fix the junk the factory put out (the 2005 Viper has junk door panels, Junk door regulators, Junk door/Window trim, junk guides. I've changed all that on mine. $2000 plus to fix and the ONLY window regulator fix was this place. The quality of what they did was impressive. Plastic? I believe they told me that they wrapped ( you can see the pics) metal replacements. For now, my windows now go up and down beautifully and the window "drop" actually works. I used Doug Shelby metal guides and I just spent $600 bucks on a set of window guides custom cast and machined from a gwntleman in Canada. I got one of the last sets. They are beautiful. See pics for before and after this place fixed my Viper Window Regulator. But again, if you have a Prowler, Tom's product is far superior. TooHipCat quote:
